Today is a sad day of remembrance. It is a sad day to think about the lieves that were lost on September 11, as well as to consider the sadness and desperation of the terrorists who participated in the horrific events of that day.
However, even in dark times, and sad times, there is light that can be found. I would like to share something beautiful and inspiring for your reflection:

I hope that you can access the link and see the performance of Paul Potts because words cannot describe the beauty of his voice. My favorite part of the video is a statement made by Paul, "My dream is to spend my life doing what I feel like I was born to do." Paul is following his dream and singing with vocal chords that have been "kissed by God" (as Pavarotti so eloquently phrased it). When we follow our dreams and spend our lives doing what we were born to do, we bring joy, happiness and inspiration to others.
Psalm 37:1-4 says:
1 Do not fret because of evil men
or be envious of those who do wrong;
2 for like the grass they will soon wither,
like green plants they will soon die away.
3 Trust in the LORD and do good;
dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.
4 Delight yourself in the LORD
and he will give you the desires of your heart.
The Lord places dreams in our heart, and he longs to give us the desires and dreams of our heart. Delight in your dreams and delight in pursuing the dreams that God gave you. What dream were you born to fulfill?
