Fights

It amazes me that kids will fight about anything. My kids love each other one minute and are hitting and pushing the next minute. Of course they fight over normal things (toys, attention, etc.) However, one of the strangest things they fight over is which way they want the driver of the car to go in our neighborhood. To get to our house, you can turn up a hill or you can go straight. Each time we go somewhere, M will ask to "Go turn" and J will yell, "No, go straight!" I used to tell the child that asked first that I would go the way they requested. Kids are smart, so in response, as soon as I back out of the driveway, the kids will say, "Go straight when we come home" or "go turn when we come home." What is a parent to do?
